It is March 1. … It is March 1!
March is my favourite month of the year. Spring has officially sprung, daylight savings begin, and it is my and many family members’ birthday month.
There is something about the first semblances of warmth, spring, life, and summer after a winter that has been transformational, gruelling, and unapologetic beyond measure. It is striking. It is something you cannot hide from. It is something I am grateful that I no longer have the hyper-vigilance to fight.
I moved home with my parents at the start of this month. I wondered (and continue to wonder), how this will feel. For better or for worse (presumably for the better), regardless of how old I am, I think parents will perpetually think of their children as half the age they actually are. It will take some adjusting, but I have been finding myself with a slight bemused smile on my face these last two days to be in and around my parents’ lives more.
For that, I am grateful. I am excited to golf with my dad, and hang out with my mom. They deserve wonderful things. While the next chapters of my life unfold, I am quite fortunate to be spending quality-time – as an adult – with my parents. Looking forward to road trips, vacations, and a vibrant spring/summer.
On the business side, I decided to do some targeted outreach. I’ve read some entrepreneurial things where people do a bunch of cold outreach (200+ emails a day?? Wild). I figure my outreach will be deliberate, already in the scope of work and ICP demographic that have already started working with me.
A business owner friend of mine told me it’s good to keep an eye on the “churn”. Being busy and having a bunch of paid projects on the go is great, and you may think you no longer need to “churn” when you obtain a full plate. But the reality is so simple it is almost magic. Once a week, 3-4 emails. Gather data slowly, organically, and let it unfurl with the right fit.
The only difficulty that remains is the patience. I am letting peace and prosperity find me. Assume the wish fulfilled.
Be well and here is some care -> CARE <- if you need to take some good quality stuff with you after you finish reading this. You are welcome.
Bye for now.
